Pez Machine Sportfishing — Yellowfin Limit, 4 Makos, Dolphin
We started trolling around 3pm and had a number of shots at yellowfins prior to sunset. We went two for 2, three for three and two for two, for a swift seven 35-45 pounders in the boat.
Following the 3rd shot of yellowfin we turned close to and had a mako explode on a vast range. We introduced the fish as it was as well close to contact and we planned to expend the evening sharking anyway.
We didn’t get our initial shark bite until moonset and then we had good action for about 2 hours. Our first mako bit close to 1am and it ended up becoming a 78 inch male. We pitched a bait to another mako the identical dimension as we had been fighting the initial and we launched it a handful of minutes following we boated the other.
We launched a 4th mako around three:30am and pulled the hook on a very good fish all around 3:45.
At four:15 a skipjack loin requires off and we proceeded to battle this factor for over four hours without viewing it. Eventually, at eight:30am we saw that it was a monster tiger shark and have been in a position to cut the leader boatside.
During the 4+ hour battle we had been marking fish below the boat so we obtained right up on the troll and had 3 far more shots at yellowfin in a 50 percent hour. We put 5 far more in the boat to restrict out and headed house.

Diving Board vs flatlines
I was flatline trolling with a rod and reel and he outfished me for 4 hrs.
The end tally was 2 yellowfin, 2 skipjack, a 9kg wahoo and rainbow runner. We lost two to the dolphins and an additional wahoo at the boat. Of the 9 hooked, seven have been on the dive board line. I even tried my halco fire tiger and the fish nevertheless wanted to try to eat his on the dive board. He reckons the board went down about 3m, and the lure about 1m.
So does any person else use dive boards, and if so what ones and what do you operate off them, and what is your set up.
I dislike winches as they are too commercial and unsporting, but they positive help u get the fish in swift to prevent the flipper and shark thiefs. His winch had 200-300lb mono to the dive board (a #9 or #ten Yo-zuri at a guess)then 80lb trace of ~15m from db to the lure.
I hope to get my individual significant dive board and probably rig my rod line off the back by way of a rubberband and retain the dive board on some large mono off a handline.
So…any dive board consumers inclined to share their ideas and insight and rigs???
I have a couple of tiny paravanes but i doubt they would maintain a halco 190 2m diver down.

Now as the week went along the fish commenced to fill up on the plentiful sum of bait we have proper now with squid, butterfish and sandeels inshore. They acquired a little picky by nowadays, Monday, but we managed to catch many good Yellowfins, but no Mako even though. Then we had some fairly wild stuff on Friday and Saturday as "That’s Appropriate" encountered back to back again Makos on the troll with 130lb leader. They ended up great sizes to 115 and 140lb’s. Not negative and with Captain Joe Bonvetti in the pit he did a fantastic task on both fish. On Friday we determined to check out up on the Bluefins so we stayed inshore and managed to catch and release about 45 Bluefins and of training course got our keepers along with a Yellowfin mixed in with our Mako. The guys ended up worn out!!! Then back at it in the AM.
Captain Jason and the "Lucky Break" have been finding on the Flounders most of the week and functioning people hard to get shallow spots as effectively as his vast local information of the surrounding waters inside the inlet. A lot of action for the children, tons of throw backs, however we are starting up to see much more and far more keepers, which is a great sign for items to arrive this summertime. The crabbing is also starting to get far better as the drinking water warms. Captain Jason said he has liked some great pickin’s!!
