UPDATE: Coast Guard suspends search for missing man near Annapolis, Md

BALTIMORE &ampmdash The Coast Guard suspended its search for a lacking male at six:fifty a.m. Thursday.

Missing is James Schmidt, 47.

Schmidt was noted lacking in the waters of the Chester River at around 4:thirty p.m. Wednesday.

Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Baltimore received a call from the Maryland Normal Resources Police of a individual in the drinking water who was reported to be fishing with his father and his nephew.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Annapolis, two MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crews from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic Town, N.J., along with personnel from the Maryland Organic Sources Police, Kent County and Queen Ann’s fire departments, Maryland State Police ended up on scene conducting the lookup for Schmidt.

The Coast Guard and local companies searched a total of 68 square miles in ten hours for the guy.
