Coast Guard suspends search for man missing near Southport, NC

This time the bluefin tuna weighed in at 110lbs (thurs fish 117), the charter again landed some nice yellowfins and friday saw some nice gaffer Mahi Mahi into the mix. The weather got them tied to the dock on saturday, but they were back at it on sunday and a new report will be posted soon on that Im sure. It sounds as if he had a Giant Surprise on sunday. So tune in later I’ll get that report rolling in also.

Coast Guard medevacs 1 near Shark River, NJ
The Coast Guard received a call at 10:52 a.m. from a crewmember aboard the Old Salty, homeported in Shark River, N.J., reporting the man collapsed after completing a dive and CPR and oxygen were being administered.
A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet, N.J., arrived on scene and transferred the unresponsive man aboard their boat.
The MLB crew continued to administer CPR and oxygen to the man while he was being transported to Coast Guard Station Shark River where he was transferred to awaiting emergency medical personnel.
The man was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, N.J.
