&quotLight winds and Restricted lines&quot | Tiberias – 22′ | 08/01/11

Bill Serafini referred to as and stated his two boys ended up all set for some spanish action once more. Rocco and Gino. two of the cutest, but the roughest toughest kids on the block. I adore these names! We worked tough to catch the four Spanish we received to the boat. We also caught many sharks, toadfish, bluefish, and croakers. I hit 1 a lot more spot on the way residence and the flounder had been pounding it. They had been all just a bit shy of the new 15&quot mark. The kids had been pooped and all set to head to the house, so we cut the flounder bite small.

Bart and John joined me these days. We picked up proper exactly where we left the flounder biting the day just before. The flounder were biting quite very good and we ended the day with ten keepers. Ideally the forty fillets will feed the 22 people back again at the seaside property! I enjoyed it individuals. Many thanks for fishing with us and hope to see ya up coming 12 months.

Mullet minnows are obtaining the flounder bite. Shrimp are catching a handful of, but aggrevating to offer with all the trash fish. Pogies for some cause are not making like you would believe. Artificials in charturese, white, and smoke are still creating a couple of keepers in the canals. Spanish mackerel are scattered during the seaside entrance with clarkspoons creating the action. Red drum have been scarce the very last couple of instances out, but we have observed a few great black drum caught. Live shrimp is the ticket in catching the drum, but have a lot and be ready to deal with the trash fish. As you will see in a single of my photos, I refused to feed all of my shrimp to the fish. I ate them! That is a wrap for now. See ya on the drinking water!

&quotMac Daddy’s Sail&quot | OIFC Planet Cat / Carolina Cat | 08/01/eleven

Captain David Kiser and Jim Kiser of the Mac Daddy Fishing Staff alongside with Kevin Smith produced a run to the Horseshoe Saturday morning.aboard their 23 ft Sea Fox. They were pulling ballyhoo on Islanders at about six knots when they hooked up with 2 sailfish back again to back again inside of 30 yds. of the boat. The 1st fish was introduced aboard for a photo op whilst the 2nd shook the hook right after a good operate. Issues went lifeless following the action. They ended up sluggish trolling when they hooked up to and landed however an additional sailfish. The guys have brought property mahi each journey to the Horseshoe other than this one. But they aren’t complaining.

Capt. Jeff Beck and I have hooked up with a sailfish. Nesbitt Nobel went two for three on sailfish. It would be a rather positive bet that if you went to the Horseshoe region you’d hook one particular up oneself!.

Thanks for the data. men.

&quotSailfish Bite Heats Up&quot | OIFC Globe Cat / Carolina Cat | 08/01/11

I have started to here very a couple of reports of Sailfish becoming noticed, hooked and/or caught above the previous week. It appears like most reviews I’m getting are of people catching many fish. Apparently most of the Sails are travelling in modest teams of two-four fish. The bite was extremely very good last week at the Eddie Hanaman Sailfish tournament out of Wrightsville Seashore and that actions looks to be transferring to waters off our coast as well. Recent studies have Sails getting caught at Horseshoe, Christinas ledge and Shark Hole.

Keep in mind the annual Cape Fear Sailfish Classic tournament hosted from the OIFC will be held subsequent week- Aug twelve-14. To get info go to the tournament internet site at www.capefearsailfishclassic.com

Consider this opportunity to get part in this new fishery that is building off our coast. The Sailfish numbers seem to be to be increasing each calendar year, and as a result concentrating on Sailfish is turning into a feasible chance.

&quotMen and new toys&quot | Get Hectic | 07/31/eleven

A few weeks back I rode with Kris Thompson and brother Billy out to some nearshore reefs to check out out his new toy. Kris set the new Lowrance facet scan on his Carolina skiff. This is an amazing piece of devices. Today we set it to test to see if it was worth the value tag. I feel the pictures converse for the test final results. Today is the very first day w/o the normal fifteen to twenty knot S.W. winds. The day commenced out with a double hook up. We attempted drifting but the winds did decide on up and switch and the transforming of the tide so we anchored up and landed correct on the spot. The facet scan allowed us to back correct up to the edge of the framework. No far more rigs have been misplaced and fish caught.

Tarpon Port Canaveral

July 15th 2011- Capt. Robert Rohman and James Smith headed out of Port
Canaveral on the search for the Silver King AKA the Tarpon. The first
stop was cast netting on a school of pogies about a hundred yards off
Cocoa Seashore, Florida. Soon after overflowing their livewell they headed out
about a mile off the seaside looking for schooling and rolling Tarpon.
