Capt Joe Shutes Bait and Tackle report, Atlantic Beach 8-1
by Capt. Joe Shute
07-29-2011: Capt. Joe’s now has a new page on the web-web site. "Capt’s feedback and Activities". .Check out the Capt’s Remarks and Activities about the proposed sulfer plant that is headed for the port . The smelting plant has been stopped, but there could be a quite large storage fascility coming for the dy pettetized sulfur which is extremely flamable and will even now have that terrible odor. The winds look like they are going to cooperate for the offshore fishing this weekend. the winds are meant to be 5-10 and the seas around 2-3 ft. The white marlin and sailfishing fishing has been pretty very good. The white marlin bite has been north of theBig Rock and the sailfish bite has been wherever fro the Sea Bouy to the Big Rock. There has also been fair good dolphin fishing and a scattered amount of wahoo. The Spanish mackerel fishing has slowed down some because last weekend, but the winds have been fairly undesirable this week, so ideally the Spanish fishing will choose up in the course of this forthcoming fairly weekend. The red drum fishing has slowed up a excellent bit back in the marsh. Could be due to really sizzling h2o and higher winds.

The Halloran loved ones just emailed me this pic from final weeks trip when we had a superb day of
redfishing early in the early morning. It was 1 of my finest redfish trips of the month catching excellent figures
of keeper fish. Most of the fish I have been catching this summer season have been effectively above the slot and thats not a
bad thing when they are to massive to preserve. It can be good to know that those about the slot fish will be there for my
following customers to catch once again someday. These fish pictured had been the excellent keepers though!

I wished to include a handful of new species to their list and we did just that. Turned out to be a great journey!

Oregon Inlet fishing center report 8-2
by Korin
Another great day of fishing out of Oregon Inlet! Some of our inshore fleet caught cobia and amber jacks and our nearshore boats had very excellent spanish mackerel catches nowadays with a number of bluefish in the mix. Offshore we had a couple dolphin limits (ten/person or 60/vessel) and a few yellowfin tunas. There had been a number of sailfish releases reported as well by the fleet.

Great weather and good fishing. Tons of honest dimensions school dolphin and some wonderful gaffers. Good size yellowfin tunas along with the dolphin. Bill fish started out off in excellent amounts before, slacked off a minor and are again as we aproach the huge time for them towards the middle of this month and well into the drop. A single boat caught some massive eye tunas as effectively as some yellowfins. The social gathering integrated Ryan Podlutky and Ralph Morbit from Pennsylvania, Jim Clark, Brad Clark and Amanda Savage from Delaware and Mark Turner from Virginia. Their huge eyes weighed 163, 136,110 and 106 lbs. Miss Amanda Savage introduced her fish, a 136 pounder to the gaff in 45 minutes, that is extremely excellent time. She said her fish fought challenging. Inshore boats had very good catches of tailor bluefish and spanish mackerel. Some fake albacores have been also caught. Open boats acquired in on the tailor bluefish, spanish mackerel and false albacore. Some of our open up boats enjoy to catch fake albacore on fly rods. The untrue albacores are so quick and dynamic that it should be a challenge.
