ten-21-2011: Capt. Joe’s now has a new web page on the internet-website. "Capt’s responses and Events". . Well it appears like the winds will work in our favor for the following handful of days. With the winds close to ten knots and the seas offshore between 2-4 ft, now will be the time to go offshore and look for these wahoo and blackfin tuna that have been hanging about the Big Rock and the Swansboro Hole region. Also for these that want to chase the king mackerel this will be the weekend to catch the kings as well. Northwest Spots, Big 10 Tiny 10 locations have had great numbers of good dimension king mackerel for the final week. The eastside of the Cape Lookout shoals is yet another location to catch kings. The Atlas Tanker and the thirty Moment Rock as nicely as the East Rock and the 1700 Rock are areas to look for the kings. Untrue albacore fishing is broad open all around the shorelines proper now and the northeast winds ought to only assist the albacore fishing even far more. We are even now catching excellent figures of spots and gray trout again in the sound. Speckled trout and red drum are picking up far too. The water will nevertheless be stirred up, but must be commencing to very clear up with the mild winds.

10-09-2011: Capt. Joe’s now has a new web page on the web-web site. "Capt’s remarks and Occasions". . The wind continues! We have been enduring a robust northeaster that has now turned into a really strong east wind and is predicted to blow difficult out of the east for the following 3 days. That is pretty a lot going to shut down the offshore fishing and even the fishing appropriate together the seaside fishing. Oh nicely, regrettably we can’t control the winds. Thankfully the inshore bottom fishing has been very good. Yesterday I had a bottom fishing trip and had a extremely great day. We ended up catching spots, hogfish and some extremely good gray trout. Speaking to other individuals fishing there have been good catches of spot around the Beaufort place, and the gray trout have been caught in the Beaufort Inlet transport channel and at the rock jetty powering Shackleford. There were some speckled trout caught back again in the Haystacks as properly as the North River. Some flounder ended up caught all around the port wall in the turning basin. The Spanish mackerel and bluefish bite this weekend was slower than common. There have been king mackerel caught up close to the Cape Lookout rock jetty region.

10-02-2011: Capt. Joe’s now has a new page on the world wide web-internet site. "Capt’s feedback and Activities". . Now that the temperatures have dropped, the inshore fishing is actually commencing to get commenced. The untrue albacore fishing was incredibly good yesterday. The fish had been even bigger and not as picly as they have been in the last couple of weeks. The fall spot rum is beganning. There ahve been great catches of spots equally on the piers and in the seems. Spanish mackerel and bluefish are performing properly about the Beaufort Inlet and up close to the Cape Lookouot shoals. The offshore fishing for wahoo continues to be extremely great. Limits of wahoo have been continuously caught from the Large Rock location south to the Swansboro Hole. Bottom fishing for grouper and snapper and triggerfish has been quite very good as well!

07-29-2011: Capt. Joe’s now has a new page on the web-web site. "Capt’s feedback and Activities". .Check out the Capt’s Remarks and Activities about the proposed sulfer plant that is headed for the port . The smelting plant has been stopped, but there could be a quite large storage fascility coming for the dy pettetized sulfur which is extremely flamable and will even now have that terrible odor. The winds look like they are going to cooperate for the offshore fishing this weekend. the winds are meant to be 5-10 and the seas around 2-3 ft. The white marlin and sailfishing fishing has been pretty very good. The white marlin bite has been north of theBig Rock and the sailfish bite has been wherever fro the Sea Bouy to the Big Rock. There has also been fair good dolphin fishing and a scattered amount of wahoo. The Spanish mackerel fishing has slowed down some because last weekend, but the winds have been fairly undesirable this week, so ideally the Spanish fishing will choose up in the course of this forthcoming fairly weekend. The red drum fishing has slowed up a excellent bit back in the marsh. Could be due to really sizzling h2o and higher winds.
