Ft. Lauderdale Florida Fishing Report
Sunny skies in Ft. Lauderdale South Florida. Winds out of the west northwest, fifteen-twenty mph. Michael Kent and wife, Jean, son Ryan, and daughter Rachel from the south facet of Chicago blended a business trip with a deep sea activity fishing charter on the Pleased Day These days in Ft. Lauderdale South Florida.
Our primary target was Atlantic Sailfish. We ordered a dozen Goggle Eyes for bait from Bud the baitman. We began off trolling off the sea buoy in Ft. Lauderdale, heading to the south, with a current about three knots heading to the north, exchanging the h2o swiftly about the reefs. We set up two kites with a total of four stay Goggle Eyes for bait and a single from the rigger. Our initial bite was a twenty five lb. King Fish, which we get in touch with Anacondas, that skyrocketed out of the drinking water a great fifteen feet, generating his physical appearance very evident. Ryan was our initial angler, and bringing the King Fish to the boat a excellent problem for him. Mitch, our mate, gaffed the Anaconda with treatment so as not to get bitten by the razor sharp teeth.
Our next angler was Rachel, and we wondered what our up coming catch would be. Sailfish on the left prolonged!!! This Sailfish decided to swim to the north, tangling the prolonged and short kite baits on the appropriate, nonetheless, Mitch was able to untangle the mess which authorized Rachel to battle her fish. After quite a few leaps, the Sailfish was introduced to the facet of the boat for image taking and release. Given that this was Rachels first Sailfish, she was overjoyed and proud of this catch.
Now it was Ryans flip once more, sitting in the fighting chair waiting his arrival. Sailfish on the proper quick!!! Soon after a 25 minute battle, Ryan introduced the Sailfish to the boat and once more photos went flying and thereafter, the Sailfish was launched.
We introduced in the two kites and manufactured a move to the south of Ft. Lauderdale, back above a wreck. After putting out the kites and one bait from the rigger, the rigger line came down and this fish sounded on us. More than likely it was not a Sailfish given that Sailfish have a tendency to arrive to the surface, and this fish did not. Tuna, Bonita, King Fish???? The fish arrived closer to the boat, and Mike, who was the angler, brought the fish to the facet of the boat. Mitch gaffed the 20 lb. Bonita and put it into the fish box. Bonitas are not mentioned as excellent eatable fish, but they are great strip baits.
It was now time to conclude our deep sea fishing charter trip off of Ft. Lauderdale South Florida, so we headed back to the dock.
The month of March was a really good month for Mahi, Wahoo, Black Fin, Sailfish and Shark fishing. April is also turning out to be a extremely productive month. We have had good latest and the bait have been keeping on the framework which is fantastic and wish they stay an additional month. The bite is very good and continues to be excellent.

Aprils Fools Day…the weather conditions fooled me thinking it was going to significantly warmer than it was. It was wonderful
to have the sun back again out but the wind most have been blowing thirty mph which preserve it fairly cold out there.
Pictured above we managed to pull some fish out even with the circumstances…not poor.
