Schooling action continues to be documented on the main river channel in which bass are keying in on colleges of small shad. When these fish are on the prime forged for them with a Very small Torpedo, but fishing a spoon or drop shot rig vertically in 15-twenty five ft of water in the locations where they demonstrate themselves is also efficient.
Striper: Truthful. Fishing patterns are the fairly considerably the identical as modern weeks, but some birds are arriving, which will make it less complicated to track down fish.

Lake Thurmond:

Midlands Place

Lake Greenwood:

Catfish: Very good. Drifting minimize bait and shrimp in eighteen-28 feet of water alongside the river channel and throughout details and humps will catch the two quantities of fish and very good sized channel cats. A massive flathead or two could be mixed in with the catch. Catfish can also be caught by lender fishermen utilizing minimize bait or worms consider suspending the bait somewhat off the bottom with a float to imitate a Santee drifting rig.
Largemouth Bass: Great. Some schooling documented with bass scattered all over the lake. Popping a bug powering a cork or jigging off details near universities are each making. Also try a berry spoon. Fish ought to be moving shallow shortly.
Crappie: Honest. Crappie looks to have moved from deep brush piles into channels in about the ten foot depth variety. Use jigs in 6 to sixteen ft and try out spider rigging.

Lake Monticello: (unchanged from Nov. 17)

Catfish: Great. Anchoring over ledges holding baitfish and catfish and fishing with minimize bait continues to be efficient. Depth is not really crucial proper now but be certain that there are baitfish before environment up. Remember, patience is important.

Lake Wateree:

Largemouth Bass: Gradual, but enhancing. Comply with the shad to find bass.
Crappie: Really very good. Fish close to Dutchman’s Creek to the higher dam for finest final results. The fish are all alongside the previous river channel with some days in the channel and some on the ledge. Minnows and jigs are doing work just off the bottom.

Lake Murray: (unchanged from Nov. 17)

Catfish: Slowing. The fishing has slowed down for catfish, but is nevertheless first rate. Drifting lower bait in 20-35 feet of h2o via huge feeder creeks is producing. Minimize herring is tough to conquer as a bait choice on Lake Murray.
Largemouth Bass: Truthful. The greatest bite is coming in clear water with poor benefits in stained water. Get on the points early and then to the docks when the solar rises. Fish are shallow, but deep. Rocky locations are the very best with shakey head worms and jigs.
Striper: Truthful. Lots of space to appear for fish from mid-lake up to Black’s Bridge (Hwy. 391). Some schooling noted so search for the birds. Use planer boards, drifting with stay herring and downlines in 20-thirty feet of drinking water.
Shellcracker: Truthful. Finest final results in four-ten feet of water. Crickets and nightcrawlers usually make very good bait selections.
Crappie: Truthful. Fish in four-10 ft around brush in a creek mouth. Minnows and jigs are the bait of selection.

Santee Cooper Method

Bream: Very good. Fish above deep brushpiles in the 22-24 foot range. Nightcrawlers are a great bait. Striped Bass: Very good . In the morning great schooling activity is becoming reported and the relaxation of the day totally free-lining live bait seems to be the important.
Catfish: Good. Very good catches are becoming reported each deep and shallow. Proper now deep drinking water indicates thirty-forty feet and shallow drinking water is 4-10 ft deep. Shallow drinking water is greater at night, even with chilly winds, since the drinking water is typically as well apparent for very good day time fishing nevertheless, the shallows will also make for the duration of the day when there is some wind to break up the surface. On nights when there is latest in the diversion canal that region can be sizzling. The best baits consist of lower herring, shad and mullet and the two drifting and anchoring will work.

Late Day Rally! / Posted by: Kenneth Brown / eleven/twenty/eleven

The time adjust has us submitting some late day photographs. Reality is this time of the year we typically set in a total day. Shifting temperatures situations and slower bookings restrict the protection. Each and every time we go it is like starting up around and it is a big ocean. Shifting drinking water problems interact with the continental shelf supplying us excellent places to start off. Yesterday there have been two probably spots. One particular to the north and one particular to the south. The lack of fishing pressure helps make Fall fishing great but crew operate aids the entire fleet. We commenced to the south and extremely small action was found. By mid day the boats to the north were zeroing in on the tuna. They permit the phrase out and the southern fleet was off to the races. We ended the day with nine good yellowfins and a sail. We have been in equally positions and yesterday we had been glad for the aid. The first boats loaded up with fantastic days. Our following journey is Friday. We have opennings for the we!ek. Thanks and hope absolutely everyone enjoys the tuna for the vacations.

Captain Michelle Drake and Jeff of &quotThe Regulation&quot fishing had watched the climate for a couple of days. Finally, they obtained a very good report. Michelle checked all the gear and set the alarm for 5:thirty am Sunday early morning. After missing the alarm, they didn’t get a line in until finally 10:55. A black bout was on before they acquired the 2nd line deployed. Then with four lines out, a 2nd black bout hit. There have been a few more strikes, then the big a single strike.

That is when points got exciting. Michelle fought the wahoo to the boat. When the fish surfaced she appeared for Jeff. He was searching for gloves. So Michell wrapped the rod amongst her legs, held it against the combing pads, and started leadering the fish. The gaff was in the rod holder. The with the leader in the correct hand, the gaff in the left and the rod wrapped around her legs, Michell gaffed the wahoo! Jeff arrived just in time to assist hoist the fish in the boat. Michelle was shaking as tough as the wahoo.

Michelle can brag about staying the 1st mate, the angler and catching the wahoo on a rig Jeff had complained about from the time Michelle made it until the fish hit it.

The Regulation crew headed to Doc Holidays with tuna, Bonita and a 65+ pound 66 inch wahoo. The draw back is they weren’t in the Hook A Hoo or in the Rodeo.

The temperatures is a minor sporty in the keys recently, The boys have been filling the bait pens so dwell bait is usually on hand. A neat trick Capt. Did have a good reef trip a couple of days in the past. As the weather conditions gets chilly for all you Northerners, its stunning down here in Islamorada in the Florida Keys. The reef fishing has been really great. The weather conditions has produced the troll bite challenging to do, but the sails, mackerel and mahi are still their when the temperatures enables.

Capt. Andrew Reports:

Went out for bait yesterday for bait pen and minnows were thick. Also jumped in for a couple of lobsters to preserve the pen thoroughly clean, identified six wonderful chunky ones. Introduced some of individuals minnows today and its very good we did, none accessible these days. Experimented with a wreck in one hundred thirty for kings had a few bites and buyers decided it was a little bit rough, went to patch in twenty five ft and caught lots of yellowtails and a couple cero and spanish mackerals, stopped off for a few cudas property early.
