August Fishing report

We have had a wonderful month on the tarpon using live croakers on leading. We have also observed a excellent range of massive reds just off the seashore. Stay menhaden seem to be the primary forage for these big spawners.

Spottail bass (Red Drum) are biting . Most are as well large to maintain. Have heard that Trout are biting, but have caught only a number of. DNR has requested that we release all Trout because of the winter destroy off. Catching a number of Flounder.

Whiting and Sharks are what we are catching the most of now.

Bottom fishing for Black Sea Bass opened June 1. The new limit is 5 for each person.
