There has also been an unusually big quantity of sheepshead caught as a by-catch by anglers focusing on other fish.
Spottail bass: Excellent. Haddrell’s Position reviews that redfish are killing mullet as they head out in direction of the ocean and are living and reduce mullet are each functioning properly.
Flounder: Fair. Haddrell’s Position reports that flounder catches have been a minor inconsistent, with fish caught on reside mullet, minnows and Gulp! fished near inlets and the edges of rock piles.
Folly Beach Pier: Catching tons of blues, whiting and black drum. Sheepshead sighted, but no real catches.

Beaufort (unchanged from Sept. 15)

Spottail Bass: Great to quite very good. Bay Street Outfitters in Beaufort reports that tailing activity has been extremely great at large tide, and the greatest bait is a Gulp! peeler crab on a circle hook. Fish can also be caught with mud minnows fished below a popping cork along the grass. Captain Dan &quotFishin’ Coach&quot Utley in Hilton Head studies that the mid to reduced outgoing tide has been strongest for redfish.
Tarpon: Bay Road Outfitters studies that fish are getting caught in the Broad River on reside menhaden. Trout: Bay Street Outfitters reminds anglers to don’t forget to release all trout for the well being of the down fishery. Far more trout need to be caught when the water cools.
