Part 2 Monsters of the Deep – Animal X Natural Mystery Unit
Many believe that huge unidentified monsters lurk in the world’s oceans and waterways. Do remnants of the dinosaur age still exist, and is this what people are seeing off the coast of Wales in Britain and in San Francisco Bay in the USA? The Animal X – Natural Mystery Unit is on the hunt for Monsters of the Deep. Daniel and Natalie talk with eyewitnesses who have videotaped a pod of huge sea serpents. We have the videotape analyzed by an expert who says the tape is not a fake and the monsters are real. So much of the ocean is still unexplored. Could there be large species we are yet to discover? Scientists answer ‘yes – it’s most likely”, and they’ve even recorded sounds from the depths of the ocean that they can’t explain. Have you heard of the Bloop? It’s the sound of a huge underwater creature and is the biggest mystery in the ocean today. Could it be the sea monster people have been talking about? They meet the scientists from NOAA a US government agency. Scientists here say the biggest threat to any species in the ocean is over fishing. It’s time for Daniel and Natalie to slip on their wetsuits and scuba gear and go exploring the big blue. Join them as they dive to ‘Aquarius’, the only inner-space station in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, searching for answers.

Fishing in Costa Rica: Part Two
Fishing off the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica for sportfish. Due to an important federal regulation, you must release any billfish, so we released every sailfish. We ate the Dorado that night (best fish in the world). We saw some dolphins. The ocean was 2 KILOMETRES deep in places. You will hear afrikaans (my native tongue) spoken. Most of the video was recorded about 50 miles off the coast.

Hilton Head Island Fishing – Tailing Redfish – Off The Hook Charters
September is definitely one of the best months to fish for tailing redfish due to the above average tides in the 8-9ft range. These fish are stuffing there bellies full of tiny fiddler crabs up in the hard packed mud and sand flats where the fiddlers are burrowed in little holes in large numbers. I am usually up on the polling platform of my flats skiff polling through the flats to put clients on these very same redfish that I am chasing down on foot in this video. It was great to get a chance to break in my brand new Sage 7wt. Xi3 fly rod and new Tibor Everglades reel on a few nice fish on a beautiful high tide afternoon. There is nothing like a sunset wade fishing session for tailing reds! If you are interested in booking a charter for tailing redfish please contact: Capt. Brian Vaughn 843 298 4376 or visit www.OffTheHookCharters.com for more information.

SOUTHEAST ALASKA DALL’S PORPOISE – DANCING IN WATER
SOUTHEAST ALASKA DALL’S PORPOISE – DANCING IN WATER VIEWERS NOTE I Slowed down a few frames so you can see them better but I did not speed anything up! They really do swim that fast! Dall’s Porpoise world’s fastest porpoise 27-30 knots (31-34 miles) per hour – way faster than the boat! 7 feet long Conservation Dependent – Threatened Scientific classification Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Cetacea Suborder: Odontoceti Family: Phocoenidae Genus: Phocoenoides Species: P. dalli Binomial name Phocoenoides dalli (True, 1885) Dall’s Porpoise range Dall’s Porpoise (Phocoenoides dalli) is a species of porpoise that came to worldwide attention in the 1970s. It was disclosed for the first time to the public that salmon fishing trawls were killing thousands of Dall’s Porpoise and other cetaceans each year by accidentally capturing them in their nets. The Dall’s Porpoise is the only member of the Phocoenoides genus. It was named after American naturalist WH Dall. The unique body shape of the Dall’s Porpoise makes it easily distinguishable from other cetacean species. The animal has a very thick body and a small head. The colouration is rather like that of an Orca— the main body of the porpoise is very dark grey to black with very demarcated white patches on the flank that begin some way behind the flippers, which are small and close to the head. The dorsal fin is set just back from the middle of the back and sits up erect. The upper part of the dorsal fin …
