A fantastic weekend of fishing. I was invited on the Wound Up with Richard Benn and Rob Belcher alongside with Bob and julia purcell. We fished the baltimore canyon and went three/4 on whites and missed a pig of a blue marlin. Very good adequate for 3rd spot in the Branch Kreppel Blue Marlin Tournament. On another notice – the boat Wound Up (39 Ricky) is just an unbelievable boat. Quiet smooth and takes a sea very nicely. All our white bites were on the flats so she sucks them up. What a nice day.

Sunday got the invite to fish on the Predator with Donnie and Heather Moore and their two daughter Shelby (thirteen) and Maddie (ten) and Josh Farr. We started at the one hundred line in 300 fathoms. Our spread was 5 naked dinks on Shimano Tyros twenty with 60lb leader. Penn 70 with a pink Squidnation Mini C/horse combo. Ilander daisy on left teaser, pink squidnation chain on appropriate teaser.

We got 4 baits out and the first 60lb yellowfin on right flat and then the left flat. Double header yellowfins on and maddie obtained in the chair and heather on stand up. The women did not know how a lot strain to put on the fish and we failed to want to eliminate maddie’s first tuna. Soooooooooo an hour and twenty minutes afterwards we boxed the 2nd fish and started trolling again. It failed to previous long as all rods went down other than for the large rod. We also had a 20 tyrnos on the bridge rod. So with 6 on Shelby, Maddie and heather received to work. Josh and I stored the other two coming in but two fish crossed and minimize each other off. But considering that we previously had two and didn’t considerably treatment about these fish we locked up the drags and thumbed the spools and acquired all four boxed in 15 minutes. 1 factor I constantly get reminded of when fish with children and female. They pay attention quite effectively and typically the fish get caught!
