Fall Canyon Fishing Like the Ole Days!!!

Thursday – Monday

We’ve caught shut to 200 tuna in the very last 3 journeys among each boats and 8 Swords up to 300 kilos. Some trips we are loading up on the chunk and when not we load up on the troll. Overnight Hudson Canyon on the Luna sea out of Keyport NJ 9.24/9.25

With the rumor of a excellent long bout bite in the Hudson we loaded up the boat and headed SE. We left the dock close to noon on Saturday. Had a good ride out with a 5-7 foot swell and a tiny chop on top rated.

Got to the canyon and did a little trolling close to. Got nothing at all on the troll but marked some bait down deep and made the decision that was a very good location to devote the evening. We had squid all about us the whole night time and a ton of dolphin feeding on them. They did supply enjoyment on a really sluggish night time of catching blue sharks. 🙁

Up on the troll in the early morning we had fish on as soon as the lines hit the h2o. The 1st two long bout were huge. Guessing around 65-70lbs. From there it was non-quit. Tons of lengthy fin from 35lbs to all around 70lbs. We also maintained to get a 200# class huge eye to the gaff.

It sounded like every person that was out there had a fantastic time with the LFT and there have been a few of other Eyeballs caught as well. I did listen to of a few YFT getting caught but it didnt sound like something to create house about.
I suggest that if at all feasible you get out there NOW.. I havent had a day like that in a long time. Its truly good to see the longfin coming back to go to.

Over Night bite is Insane, I need 3 or 4 tuesday into wednesday.

Challenge Cup

The Cape May Marlin and Tuna Club and the Ocean City Marlin Club had the 33rd annual Problem Cup tournament this weekend, after a delay from previous week’s climate. As usually the fishing and camraderie was 2nd to none.

Equally of these clubs can boast having some of the ideal white marlin fishermen in the globe as members, and this tournament lived up to the buzz. In the end the catch count was tied, with the edge likely to OCMC on time. Our very last fish was caught at 330 by the Billfisher and the CM club last fish was at 333 by the Viking 70. The Rely on Entertaining was best boat overall, and some large days were place up by DASea (ten) Viking 70 (seven) Par Five (8) and lots of 3’s 4’s and 5’s.

There had been several recommendations for a tie breaker like drinking contests and carp tournaments, but the guidelines explained time, so thats how it ended up.

I would like to thank all of my buddies from CM for coming down and fishing. Each the Club and Teasers have been rocking, and I can definitely inform you that the Honey Badger isn’t going to give a shit!!!!

Also I would like to say thanks to Chuck and Mary for coming over and obtaining beers. I don’t keep in mind any of the fights, so I am seeing it once again as I type this!!!

112 lb White Marlin aboard the Marli!!!

Got back from fishing day two (last night time) of the Cape May possibly/Ocean Metropolis, MD Problem Cup and witnessed this 112 lb White Marlin currently being weighed in. Fish was caught aboard the OCMD charter boat Marli with Capt. Brian Porter and mates Anthony Pino and Buck. Sorry, don’t have angler title nevertheless. Congratulations to the whole crew on an incredible catch!!!! I feel this is also a pending Maryland State Document.

Special Guest on “That’s Right” Great Trip

September has been a making an attempt month to say the least but,
The climate eventually smiled on us and we pulled the bring about on a particular trip we have been hoping to pull off over the past few weeks.

Canyon Runner Quick Report & Open Dates – 50+ Yellowfin on Chunk to 110 Pounds
