It’s challenging to imagine that we are nearly to AUGUST! ……….. Fishing has been relatively sluggish, but they are catching some leading feeders like SPANISH MACKEREL and BLUEFISH towards the end ………… Also, we are viewing some SEA MULLET at night, with CROAKERS and FLOUNDER for the duration of the day ……….. SPOTS are sporadic, but they are coming in just as a reminder that the Fall Period is not that far off! ………… Congratulations to JIM ‘AFLAC’ LAIRSON (Peletier, NC)–three lb. 6 oz. SPANISH MACKEREL ……..TIM JOYNER (Rocky Mount, NC)–1 lb. six oz. SPANISH MACKEREL ………. and CARSON DAVIS (Lenior, NC)–seven oz. BLUEFISH ……….. It is a shame that we aren’t seeing some KING MACKEREL in this 82* BLUE-GREEN water the situations are Excellent! …………. Oh, well, have patience! ……….. We are expecting a actually warm weekend, though we knowledgeable a mid-90’s day yesterday! ……..
