Davidson River Outfitters report 1-18
The rains arrived, with large water levels. Now, back down to typical flows, fishing has been pretty good depending on the day. We have had sixty deg days, to 34 deg days. Colder days have been a bit sluggish, but when the temps jump up? Seem for Caddis and Olives on the h2o.
The Hatchery: Has been excellent with Micro Eggs and Zebras. 5X to 7X.
The Personal Waters: The Davidson and West Fork have been very good with Blue Zebras, Peacock Gentle Hackle, Gurdle Bugs, and Black Caddis.
Tiny Streams: Stimulators, and Tungsten Droppers. Pheasant Tails, Grn. Copper Johns, Prince Nymphs.
Tuckaseegee and Watauga: Excellent when both generators are not working. Olives,Gentle Hackles, Worms and Eggs. Streamers under a a hundred and fifty sink suggestion if the h2o will get a little bit large.
If none of this works? Attempt the stuff below.
Dries: Blue Winged Olives, Black Caddis, Black Stones, Cream Midges, Gnats. 18-24
Nymphs: Kev Stone 4-6, Lightning Bugs, Red, Black and/or Silver sixteen-twenty, San Juan Worms Red/Pink 12, Gentle Hackle Pheasant Tails and Olives sixteen-20. Red Fox Squirell Nymphs, Gurdle Bugs 6-8, Copper John Chart 16-20, Sucker spawn (yellow and orange)

Inshore and the Reef, Fishing in the Keys. Keeps Going Strong
Capt Jeff, has been fishing on the flats and in the back nation with fantastic final results. Chunky Red fish, trout, snook, black drum and an occasional tarpon have been putting the mild tackle to the exam. There are some great grouper back there as effectively, sadly all want to be introduced.
Capt Aaron, Has been chasing sails off the reef edge and have been obtaining their releases. Some days they have lock jaw, we have been seeing loads of them sometimes in as shallow as 20ft of h2o. Yellow tail snapper have been a genuinely great bite on the reef with muttons, mangroves, and a lot of grouper to be launched as nicely. We have witnessed some truly good mackerel fishing as well.
