Nowadays was a fairly great day on the ocean with a 15kt southwest wind. The dolphin fishing was superb once again and Trevor Johnson and his boys were placing the damage on them. Howard and Robin caught two white marlin and a single was missing his bill.

Present day Report
Posted by Captain Rom on July 23, 2011 at 05:03:32
Attachment 195952
Right now was sort of bumpy with a 15-20kt southwester blowing all day. Morris McClelion and his family hung in there all day and ended up with some wonderful dolphin and Kevin caught a 250lb blue marlin.
Attachment 195955
Nowadays was an additional southwester about 20kts but the current was running about 4 knots so it was rather calm offshore. It was scorching and humid but the dolphin had been hungry. Richard Goodman and his crew from NC ended up good anglers and did a great career catching the dolphin. We also caught a wahoo and a good sailfish.
Attachment 195954
An additional hot humid bumpy southwester. Greg Brown and his crew from Topsail Seaside are extended time consumers and they are rather challenging. The bailer dolphin fishing was great again but the present had the billfish shut dow

1999 Yamaha F50 Four Stroke 20&quot shaft…all rigging incorporated low hours, really clean motor.

Motor was on a rig I just took ownership of…an 18′ Cat hull. If you know nearly anything about cat hulls, you know that a single 50 just will not push a cat hull extremely efficiently, which was the scenario. Interestingly sufficient, this was unique equipment on the boat…which now has an apporpriately sized ninety on it.

engine is extremely thoroughly clean with the exception of some paint fade on the leading rear of the engine hood. Insode, she seems spankin new.

Comes with Yamaha aspect mount controls, harness and electrical power cables, and handle (shift/throttle) cables. All in excellent issue.

Engine is on a stand in my store…with a brand name new $ 400, Electrical power Tech stainless 4 blade prop (acquired in an hard work to improve pace on the cat). also comes with the orignal four blade aluminum prop. (new wheel improved velocity 3 mph at 4000 rpm on cat hull)

Capt Joe Shutes Bait and Tackle report, Atlantic Beach 7-24

Fishing Report
by Capt. Joe Shute

07-22-2011: Capt. Joe’s now has a new page on the internet-web site. &quotCapt’s feedback and Activities&quot. .Check out out the Capt’s Remarks and Events about the proposed sulfer plant that is headed for the port unless of course we can cease it. There have been all the Spanish mackerel that you want just inside and exterior of the Beaufort Inlet. They are feeding on small glass minnows. so when casting lures at the Spanish you require to be casting the smallest lures that you can cast. Modest spec rigs and flies are working extremely nicely. Casting is in fact functioning better than trolling. Offshore fishing is genuinely choosing up as properly. There have been escalating figures of white marlin, sailfish and blue marlin caught in the final few days. The dolphin bite has picked up far too. Startiing to see a handful of a lot more gaffer dolphin and a lot of bailer dolphin.

Capt. Joe’s Responses and Upcoming Occasions

For those of you that have an interest in trying to keep the Morehead City, Beaufort, and Atlantic Seashore area an area that you would like to live and getaway, you may possibly be interested in what is likely on at the Morehead Town Port. PCS Phosphates is preparing to build a Sulfer melting facitliy correct there on the port residence. total with two, a hundred and fifty ft. smoke stacks that will be pumping out sulfer smoke. One of the poor points that has transpired is that this ongoing offer to build the sulfer plant has been likely on for above a 12 months, however the nearby residents and town official just learned about this on July 1st. Numerous permits have been issued for the development of the plant with no 1 having any knowledge that it was happening. Not to mention that there will now be a rotten egg smell hovering above all of Carteret Count, the uncooked or dry sulfer that will be brought in to the port is very explosive and flamable in it’s dry state. Considering that the military often merchants PETN explosives at the port, this could make for a quite unsafe predicament. The sulfer dust can ignite if the dust will get on the rail line and the practice rolls over it. This has took place in a couple of circumstances here in NC previously triggering big fires and a lot hurt to other services.

Not to point out that all of our companies and the ecosystems will experience from the drop out of the sulfer. Property values will drop and tax collections will drop as a outcome placing the complete county in a jam. Local corporations will experience from just the smell of rotten eggs hovering over the metropolitan areas, and the sulfer dust falling on all the autos and boats in the area. Just what a coastal resort region actually isn’t going to want, particularly in these financial occasions. Not to mention that Carteret County will not make a dime off of this plant ,the money will all go out of the county. We will make no money from the plant and it will not generate any regional careers, but what we will get are the adverse results and lost cash flow from the plant. WE don’t need to have this sulfer plant everywhere around Morehead Metropolis!

Reel Adventure Charters , Wrightsville Beach report 7-22

Wrightsville Seaside Shark Fishing
Filed below: Fishing Reviews — Reel Adventure @ one:00 am

The Carolina Beach inshore fishing and Wrightsville Beach shark fishing has been superb this 12 months. We have caught over one hundred sharks quickly this prior week sight casting, trolling and on fly. Now is the time to just take a shot at them on a fly rod! We went three for three on the fly rod the first day and 6 for 11 (strikes) on the fly the 2nd day with several seems to be at the fly. I busted my 12 wt (shut it in the door) or we would have had even more. I will have the 12 wt back in a day or two from G Loomis. I also have an additional twelve wt in the works with a Tibor Pacific reel and two 10 wts with Tibor Riptide reels that will be ready for action very soon. We are taking the 8 wts tomorrow and hoping a monster does not come alongside! Cant wait around!

Appreciate the pics, these are just the fly fishing pics.

Red Drum Tackle fishing report Buxton 7-25

Sunday Fishing Report by Joe
A couple of Puppy Drum in the Hook region this early morning and we heard a rumor that there ended up a handful of Flounder caught there as well. Ed K stopped by the store and noted big catches of Sea Mullet, Spot, and Croaker off Ramps 43 and 44. Small Bluefish caught on steel early this morning at the Stage. The Sharkers had a blast catching four to six foot Biters yesterday and one would envision that they’re burning spools once again this evening. Lighter winds will distinct the drinking water and the Spanish will feed closer to the seaside so hold the faith.

No Inshore boats out today and the couple of Offshore that went out all returned with limits of Dolphin – Grumpy.

Dave, Scott and Matt, had a bumpy day on the h2o, but genuinely excellent dolphin fishin.

It was fast and furious proper out of the gate, and they swiftly caught a large mess.

Caught a handful of more trolling, including some that were large enough to gaff!

A few sails caught, but we did not see a single.

Thanks fellas, great to have you again on board the Bite Me!
