Small squid teasers infront of Lures…???

Hey All,
I was reading about &quotPoor Boy&quot large pace trolling lures the other day, and Capt. Archer mentioned that placing a teaser little squid in front of them enhanced their bite price compared to with no a modest teaser squid…So I gave one particular a go the other day and caught a tiny rainbow runner/kingfish/yellowtail no matter what u want to phone it. I rigged up a handful of more poor boys and was pondering…
do you reckon this would function with with cup confronted lures as well, or hex heads or bullet heads to improve their hit rate, with out effecting their swimming action (esp with cup faced lures).
Has everyone ever attempted this and what was the end result?
