Wanting to start gearing up fpr stripers

Needed to get some opinions on gear for striper fishing out of Oregon inlet. Just asking yourself what the norm is for rod/reel set up, and what most are dragging behind the boat. Any information like trolling speed, depth is really appreciated. Any guides or other avenues for data accessible would also be tremendously appreciated. I’ve had bits and items of information from other people but hunting for all the opinions/information I can get. I have a young son that is try to eat up with the outdoors but is a tiny youthful for offshore adventures but may possibly be in a position to make it out with me nearshore for some fun temperatures pending. I am fishing out of a 30’CC.Thanks
