Tuna Wahoo 10/16/11

Well now I know what fishing in a wind tunnel is like. Nowadays I had Sara and Chalin Malbari, and Steve Calandra out for blues and stripers. The forecast for hard wind from the west was only somewhat off, coming from the southwest produced the ocean even sloppier ! We started out trolling from Asbury north but discovered no striper really like. Afterwards in the day the striper bite turned on where we had been trolling, but that is fishing. We wound up fishing just inshore of the rocks exactly where we played catch and release with little blues on diamond jigs. Wealthy King had the most interesting catch of the day, now he understands why the anchor was sliding and why the place is acknowledged as the Shrewsbury Rocks !
