Inshore

Speckled trout fishing has been wonderful recently. It is not unususl to catch 20 to 50 fish. Most are underneath dimensions but there is a fair number of keepers combined in. Be informed the size and bag limit has changed. There is a four fish limit for each individual with a bare minimum size of 14 inches and only 2 fish can be around 24 inches in size. Consider Mirrolures in 18, 21, 808 and Electric Chicken (EC)colours. Soft plastics like DOA and Bass Assassin shad tails, Berkley Gulp and Sea Striker 4 inch curl tails rigged on a one/4 oz jig head function just fine. Try out tails with green or blue in them alongside with distinct, white and X-mas Tree. Juice things up with a small Pro Treatment Gel and they bite even far better. Attempt the surf early and late at Topsail and Wrightsville Seashore with Mirrolures. Fish in the two-five pound assortment look to be the norm. Around Shore

Gulf Stream
