Strange Mahi Meat

I lately caught a couple of wonderful gaffer mahi and 1 of them had what looked like a little wahoo or shark bite taken out of it on the ridge of its back again. It failed to look like a fatal wound at all but a &quotdivot&quot none the much less.

The meat of the fish was significantly less firm and slightly yellowish. The meat was also significantly less dense and almost Jello like. I cooked it up and tasted a modest bite and it failed to taste foul but definitely different. It was significantly sweeter almost like crab meat. I’ve observed my honest share of mahi and in no way seen anything at all like this and I am asking yourself if it is protected to consume or if I’d be better off not consuming it. I dislike to waste it but at the identical time don’t want to get sick and so on.
