Spooling reels with Braid Question?

Gonna spool some Penn Int’l. 50s with 100 lb. PowerPro. My question is regardless of whether or not it is essential to spool monofilament on 1st, then stack the braid on top of that. I have heard various opinions on the issue and just wanted some feedback.:neat:
