Rigging Spanish Mackeral

My buddy saved me a couple of tiny spanish to rig as Marlin baits. It will be a week or to prior to I can use them. Need to I gut and brine them ahead of I freeze them?

Anyone have any rigging guidelines or videos you can advise? This the 1st time I’ve tried. I’ve received some 10/ J hooks that I plan on using. Thank you guys!
