Rigging Lures

Just received a couple new plastics to fish with for pelagics and was pondering what everyones ideas have been on rigging them. I know everyone does it distinct. Any ideas on double hook vs single hooks, stiff vs semi stiff vs not stiff, and on hook site. I feel ive even heard rumors of employing circle hooks. Could be incorrect but any input would be appreciated.
