Reel Adventure Charters , Wrightsville Beach report 4-20

Inshore: The red drum and black drum are biting properly in the creeks, bays, and water techniques. Some days are better then other folks but the bite is obtaining far more consistent with the warmer water temps. We are catching the red drum on ten lb tackle employing synthetic jerk baits and shrimp from Berkley and Redfish Magic spinner baits. The black drum are caught with twenty lb gear ( to pull them out of the docks) using clean dead shrimp.

Around shore: The bluefish have proven up and are THICK! They are stacked up on the around shore wrecks and are biting anything at all that moves. For a whole lot of action, and tons of entertaining, these fish are certain to make sure you! The bonito and bogus albacore are spotty but I have heard some strong reviews of them commencing to display up near. This will only get far better with the increasing drinking water temp.

Offshore: Bogus albacore and bonito have been documented in the 10 mile area and some ended up caught at the 5 mile wrecks. Kings are still 20-thirty miles out. Amberjacks are shifting closer and we are geared up to give them havoc when they arrive!

The Wrightsville Seashore fishing, Carolina Seaside fishing and Topsail Island fishing has improved tremendously above the past number of days. Now is the time to guide your trip! The fishing is fantastic and it will only keep on to get far better!

Inshore: The redfish and black drum are STACKED UP on the docks of the ICW. Fresh new shrimp and Berkley Gulp have been the top producers.

Close to shore: The Bonito are thin at the Liberty Ship @ Wrightsville Seashore. They are biting better at Divers Rock and are a pretty huge class of Bonito. The Blue fish at the Liberty Ship have been on fire. We have caught a lot of limits jigging the wreck in just a hour or two. There is also a good option for fly fisherman to hook into the blue fish. Have one particular particular person jig and when the other bluefish come up subsequent the hooked 1 flip above a mylar clouser and hold on! Plenty of enjoyable on an 8wt. I Can’t wait to get them on the 6wt. The Gray Trout are also starting up to show up and are good sized fish.
