Red Drum Tackle fishing report Buxton 9-28

A 43 inch red drum was landed this early morning on the southside of the level. Bluefish, pompano, and black drum were also reported nowadays. Some bluefish had been landed on lures, but most had been caught on mullet. A tarpon was hooked this afternoon, but was missing following the initial jump and a nearly spooling the 7HT Daiwa crammed with braid. Finger mullets are operating the seashores, so have your cast nets prepared.

Spanish mackerel and bluefish ended up caught on lures this early morning at the level. Blues had been currently being caught out by the jetties this afternoon.
