Post Irene Hatteras Island

Nicely, points are gradually getting again to typical, residents of Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras are allowed to return commencing today.

Residents of Avon and Rodanthe/Waves/Salvo are not allowed to return but. The Island’s electrical is currently being operate by large diesel generators at all of the substations until the main transmission lines on Pea Island can be fixed.

HWY 12 on Pea Island is broken in several areas, and the State is functioning on it swiftly and need to be fixed in 3 weeks or so.

As far as fishin, we could not be in a position to operate any charters out of Hatteras until they enable guests to return and that may possibly not be right up until the road is fixed.
