ten-5-11 Great Scouting
We took the Mark Buckley crew correct back again to in which we had these kinds of excellent luck yesterday on the 480 line and found situations had changed overnight. Not virtually as numerous bites. There were some quite good catches produced by a few of boats about the position. Our picture underneath would have appeared a great deal far better if we had held on to a large wahoo and people last two yellowfin we lost. Ended up with 5 yellowfin and numerous little blackfin in addition a few of mahi. Several boats started working northward and a couple of good scouts steamed up the line fifteen miles to a gulf steam eddy east of the inlet. Late in the day Smoker had trolled up to the 740 line and reported discovering tons of birds and marks. He quickly described a couple of bites, then all around 1:30pm two other boats noted multiple hookups around the identical place. Sadly, it was also late in the day for us to make the 20 mile steam. Tuna Fever, Skiligal and Smoker all came residence with really wonderful catches up to 70 pounders! That is good news for all of us. We are hoping a lot more large yellowfin are coming down the ledge.

Exactly where did they go? Most boats caught a handful of fish but absolutely nothing like yesterday’s haul. George Deritter, George III, and Ben scored three yellowfin, a couple of blackfin and mahi. A few boats fished down to the present edge underneath the level and caught many wahoo and mahi. Probably the tuna will be schooled up far better tomorrow.

Want I could report limits of tuna for all….but that was not the case. We ventured out with about a dozen other boats into choppy seas landing on the 800 line in which some tuna had been witnessed yesterday.
When we arrived conditions ended up comfortable and there were a handful of bites out of the gate…but unfortunately, it did not previous prolonged. We had only seven bites for the day and had one particular 50pound tuna and a mahi to demonstrate for it. We missing another gaffer and a mako. A few of boats caught six or 7 tuna in that area. Some mahi had been caught around parts of float. There were also a few of boats who by no means had a tuna bite.
On a a lot more good note, 1 boat steamed down to the gulf stream latest edge below the Stage and acquired lucky with a tuna wham in close proximity to the end of the day catching six at a single whack. Possibly we will attempt that place tomorrow. We enjoyed having Bradley, Tom, George, Pete, Phil, and Matt aboard nowadays.

Good catches of tuna to toss on the new docks at OIFC right now. Yellowfin and blackfin combo catches and Point Runner also landed a fat wahoo. Thanks to Sam Daugherty and crew for fishing with us. Looks like tough weather for the up coming few of days. We’ll get again out there on Thursday.
