Offshore Venice La

I fished a few days before easter and 1 soon after. Only one of the days we manufactured it far adequate to tuna fish and that was on thursday. It started off kinda sluggish but we did get a great deal of tinker macks for bait. WE left the 1st spot right after catching a handful of undersized yft. Headed out to the next floater and missed a very good 1 on a popper and caught a few far more undersized ones. Next spot was dead so on to our last spot. Pulled up right here and immediately hooked a good 1 on a popper. Fought it for about twenty minutes and pulled the hooks. It was beginning to flip into one particular of individuals days until finally the subsequent fish a sound 80 pounder hit the popper and we set it in the boat. Started off reside baiting and hooked a excellent fish close to the rig but he took us in the cables. Headed off searching for groupers and although the bite was a small slow we added 9 scamps to the box all on the jig. Experimented with dropping bait to the bottom and all we got had been enormous snappers which will be good for june 1st but not so good for now.

Had a 3 person group the day after easter and all they wished was to catch fish. It was yet again to rough to go tuna fishing so we stayed in close and caught some lane snappers just before we slogged off into a tiny deeper h2o hunting for ajs. Reside bait was difficult to locate so we acquired to jigging them. Got a restrict of jacks 1 massive blackfin tuna and one almaco before we headed to the home.
