Offshore Venice La

I got out for a couple of days appropriate before new many years to examination my boat back again out right after my thirty day period off. All were productive trips despite the fact that we didnt slam the fish on any excursion. Had some good selection trips with grouper wahoo,yellowfin, blackfin, dolphin and amberjack taking a go to to the fishbox. Initial day I had Mike Vales and his sons on the boat. We trolled close to finding up some schoolie yellowfin and blackfins on the plugs and missed a wahoo or two. Completed up with a restrict of ajs on the jiggin sticks.

Day two I had Gordon Richardson and his group on the boat. We commenced out sluggish to the south with a number of schoolie yf and some blackfin to display for our efforts. We headed north seeking for more action but it was slow midday so we started jigging and received 4 ajs and 6 scamp on the jig prior to we started trolling yet again and obtained a single a lot more yf and a wahoo.

Day three I commenced off to the northeast exactly where the hooters had been the day before and discovered dead slow action. Headed out east to a floater in about 700 ft of water and doubled up on bull dolphin the 1st pass a single of which was about 35 pounds. Whilst we had been fighting these dolphin yet another a single showed up and we chosen it up on a frenzy popper. Made a number of much more passes and obtained a great wahoo and a yf just before it slowed a tiny bite. Moved on to the next rig in line and caught 3 schoolie yf off of it prior to the men stated they had ample sushi so we moved over hunting for hooters and obtained two much more off of a buoy.

Also posted some fog images for the guys preparing on bringing their boats this winter months. Unless you experience self-confident working and fishing by radar only believe very carefully about pulling your boat. New several years eve fog was so thick I was forty five miles east of the river fishing rigs that I could not even see from a hundred and fifty ft away. I was actually trolling by rigs then possessing to relocate them on radar to get back.
