North Carolina reports 9-9

nine/nine/2011
Hanging to the dock once again these days – Hurricane Katia has closed our the bar …at least for us. Some of the marlin boats ended up going to give it a shot this morning – or at minimum go take a peek but Maxwell took a peek last night time and he mentioned he failed to want to wash out his curtains this early morning! hehe – again in the blue tomorrow although. Limited Lines!

Position Runner and a couple of other charters had been ready to get across the bar at Oregon Inlet this morning for a single far more day of fishing before hurricane Katia manufactured her pass near the NC coast. Mike Jenkins’ crew was hoping to catch some meat to appreciate while on holiday and to consider home to WV. Capt Greg was at the helm with Scott in the pit. Looks like a good catch of mahi, some tuna bites and shark bites to appreciate. Greg told me three or four more tuna hooked that did not keep linked.
Many thanks for checking in.

Present-day Report
Posted by Captain Rom on September 07, 2011 at 22:03:54

What a mess. My son Cameron and I left Hatteras Island on Saturday to just get away and did some dove hunting. It was great to get absent a couple of days but it was a extended drawn out affair hoping to get back again. The ferry service from Stumpy Stage to Rodanthe is running as tough as they can go but it is still only open up to citizens. We are all wishing for the street to open up soon but I am hearing it will be all around October 1st. I am relocating my boat to Pirates Cove tomorrow and run a couple of charters out of there. The white marlin fishing has been planet class up there the last number of days. I do have this Saturday and Sunday open and the temperatures appears lovely if any individual is intrigued. You can phone or email to let me know. A good site for data is www.islandfreepress.com. Be glad when issues are again to normal and hold all the not so fortunate storm victims in your prayers. Excellent fishing.

One more Magnificent Day!
groups Fishing Report

Yesterday, the men introduced nine White Marlin for another excellent day aboard the Pelican. These days is this groups third and closing day fishing and currently we have introduced twenty five White Marlin. With Katia off shore, we were lucky to get out of the inlet this morning and they will be dealing with the hurricane swell off shore, but with perseverance they ought to see some action.
