Legasea OCMD report 6/11

Its great to have a report to post, even if it is a crappy a single. A friend was acquiring married and all he wanted for the first portion of bachelor social gathering was to catch a shark. The reviews had been great from the Hambone so we headed there. H2o was a tiny hotter than I would have liked for Mako at 72ish so we started out on the troll. Practically nothing for about an hour till we were coated up by bluefish. Set up for shark on NW facet of the bone and had our first pull right following all the baits ended up set. Turns out it was a tiny (quite modest -50lb) mako on short bait and pulled the hook after a short fight. It was a long relaxation of the day with no action until finally about 4pm when we introduced a dusky. Slow day, but it was great to get again out there and my buddy ended up catching his first shark, so he was thrilled (and on the issue of fish flags from a earlier article, he was pleased as can be to run up the shark release flag coming by means of the inlet 🙂 )Strategy to get a lil deeper in a week or so.-Shark
