Inmarsat Sat Phone

Has anybody on right here had an optimistic or damaging experiences with the new Inmarsat satelite cellphone??? We are changing our ultra crappy Globalstar, and I was hoping this was the unit for us. Fishing as far a hundred miles offshore in the mid-atlantic, it would be great to know if they perform just before we plop down the $ $ $ .
