Quick video of two of my fishing reels. Daiwa Saltist Lever Drag 2speed LD40 that I static magged using 2 neodymium magnets with 650 yards of 40lb pp and my Abu Garcia 6500cs Pro rocket with 300 yards of 30lb Sufix. I use both for jetty/surf fishing along the coast in south texas. The Pro rocket already landed me two 38 inch Jack Crevalle last week while fishing in South Padre Island in the 35lb range with my Saltiga 10ft surf rod. Before magging the Saltist had a free spool of around 40 seconds but now has a free spool of about 10. Casting it is a lot easier now and will cast far with minimal thumb work. The Abu Garcia has upgraded abec 7 bearings and upgraded levelwind, however, I plan on switching to a ct frame and removing the levelwind later on since sand builds up in the level wind every time I fish from the surf.
