Holden Beach Nearshore Report

I had 2 fifty percent day charters nowadays, and the fish ended up CHEWING. On the early morning trip, the bluefish have been biting hard in 20 ft. of water between Lockwood Folly and the big hill. We had several double and triple headers, retaining fifteen and releasing one more 15 or twenty. We also caught our initial spanish of the 12 months. On the afternoon trip, the bluefish had been even now biting challenging, but with a much smaller sized class of fish. Out of 15 or so in the 1st thirty minutes, we decided to head offshore a small bit and catch and release some &quotendangered&quot sea bass. I wouldn’t hesitate to say we landed somewhere amongst one hundred and a hundred and fifty bass, with the majority keeper dimension, and rather a handful of about two lbs. All in all, not a undesirable day, with superb fishing, and gorgeous weather conditions. I have two far more trips tommorow, but don’t know if the weatherman will allow us go. I’m maintaining my fingers crossed.
