Holden Beach Nearshore Fishing 4-21

I had 2 50 percent day charters these days, and the fish ended up CHEWING. On the morning trip, the bluefish had been biting difficult in twenty ft. of drinking water in between Lockwood Folly and the huge hill. We had many double and triple headers, maintaining fifteen and releasing another 15 or twenty. We also caught our initial spanish of the yr. On the afternoon trip, the bluefish were even now biting difficult, but with a considerably more compact class of fish. Out of fifteen or so in the initial 30 minutes, we determined to head offshore a small bit and catch and release some &quotendangered&quot sea bass. I wouldn’t hesitate to say we landed someplace between 100 and one hundred fifty bass, with the majority keeper size, and rather a few more than two lbs. All in all, not a bad day, with superb fishing, and lovely weather conditions. I have two more trips tommorow, but don’t know if the weatherman will let us go. I’m maintaining my fingers crossed.
