Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report for the Charter Boat “Happy Day Today”
This morning we started off trolling to the south of Ft. Lauderdale to an location with many artificial wrecks from one hundred-250 ft of drinking water south of Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale. 1 of the wrecks was a sunken Haitian boat that went down in the early 90s. Because then, this wreck and other people in the place have been extremely productive for various varieties of fish. We trolled to this area with two plainers down, a pink sea witch with a Bonita strip behind it on one particular and a three ½ blue reflector drome spoon on the other, which have been our two deep baits. For surface baits, we had two Ballyhoos, two Stripped Bonitas and one Alibi Feather with a Bonita strip buried down the center rigger. As we trolled to this region, there was a guy-of-war bird functioning off shore of the boat. We headed in that route and were lucky to discover a university of Mahi Mahis beneath the man-of-war. Mark and his buddy, Dave, reeled in a couple of Mahi Mahis with a few of Tunas blended in. We trolled close to seeking for a Wahoo, but no luck.
As we obtained back again on program and headed towards the wreck place, a couple of of Blue fish popped up, which added to our combine bag of fish. When we got to the wreck, we slowed down the boat to allow our plainers sink down deeper. The two plainers created two Amberjacks, which created for an outstanding fight thereafter, we added a couple more King fish to the fish box. These wrecks up and down Ft. Lauderdale South Florida make for extremely productive fishing.
It was time to commence heading again to the dock at Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale South Florida. This ends yet another productive and adventurous deep sea fishing excursion on the Satisfied Day Right now with Captain Zsak.
