Fishing Report January 17, 2012 Lahaina Harbor, Maui, Hawaii

The Pitts family members from Alabama invested their morning fishing off the island of Lanai, wherever the striped marlin have been coming up. The striped marlin have been elusive that early morning but the Pitts loved ones did catch a mahi as an alternative.

Not surprisingly, Hank and Tanya Graham fished Lanai in hopes of running throughout some striped marlin. Hank and Tanya imagined they hooked a single when the prolonged gone Ahi P took off near the Lanai lighthouse. The fish turned out to be a mahi, which was great with Hank and Tanya.

Whilst trolling alongside the coastline of Maui, Jeremy Cook hooked a good kawakawa. The inshore tuna put up an entertaining fight on gentle tackle.

This mahi nearly shook the hooks after likely aerial on the strike. Robert Vanbavel, however, did a excellent job retaining the line limited. Tension on the line stored the hooks firmly in spot and Robert’s mahi wound up on the boat.

Mike Gardner and Waleed Ahsam were kept active whilst fishing the north shore of Maui on an early departure journey. Mike and Waleed took gain of the sunrise bite to catch some tunas and a few mahis.
