deckhand help!!

Hey, Im wanting to become a deckhand on a sportfishing boat and want some ideas. Ive been fishing since i could stroll and was introduced to saltwater when i was 8 and fell in adore. I reside in bham Al. so im not that close to the ocean to salt fish each and every day. I do invest each day on the laptop or computer exploring about sportfishing (i no i want a existence lol). Im 14 now so when i turn eighteen im relocating to mexico seashore fl. So if any one can give me some pointers on what i need to have to already be finding out and how aged do you have to be to be a very first mate it would help alot.
