Coast Guard rescues 3 near Beach Haven, NJ

Seaside HAVEN, N.J. &ampmdash The Coast Guard rescued 3 individuals soon after the 34-foot recreational boat they were aboard ran around in the vicinity of the Excellent Bay here, Monday.

The Coast Guard acquired a phone at five:33 a.m., over VHF-FM channel sixteen, from the operator of the Naughty Woman reporting they ran aground and were taking on drinking water.

A 25-foot Response Boat – Small crew from Coast Guard Station Seaside Haven arrived on scene and took the 3 people off the boat and transported them to Wonderful Bay Marina in Seaside Haven.

No accidents have been noted.

Towboat US will salvage the recreational boat.
