Coast Guard medevacs man from boat in Pamlico Sound, NC
WILMINGTON, N.C. &ndash The Coast Guard medevaced a 65-year-aged gentleman from a fishing vessel approximately 9 miles north of Ocracoke Island, N.C., Wednesday.
A crewmember aboard the fishing vessel Micah Belle referred to as Coast Guard Sector North Carolina watchstanders at about 8 p.m., stating that a crewmember was in need to have of a medevac.
Crewmembers from Coast Guard Station Ocracoke released aboard a 25-foot Response Boat &ndash Small and transport the gentleman to waiting EMS personnel at the station.
The gentleman was transported from station Ocracoke to the Outer Financial institutions Hospital.
