Capt Joe Shutes Bait and Tackle report, Atlantic Beach 3-26

Sorry the report has not been updated for a couple of days, but I was off in New Jersey for a Saltwater fishing display and have just gotten back again. We are still having a problem with the continuing winds, but the water temperatures are beginning to really warm up and the fishing is picking up. Yesterday in spite of the high winds a number of boats went offshore to the Huge Rock region and had very excellent catches of wahoo and blackfin tuna. Inshore the bluefish are starting to show up as properly as some sea mullet and blowfish. Red drum back in the marshes are nonetheless carrying out well, and some speckled trout are starting to bite back again in some of the deeper creeks.
