Capsized boat claims 1 life, 5 rescued near Ocean City, Md
A very good Samaritan contacted Coast Guard watchstanders at around 9 a.m. and documented that an 18-foot satisfaction boat capsized at the mouth of the inlet, and the individuals went in the h2o.
Two rescue boat crews from Station Ocean Town responded and recovered all 6 individuals.
The crews recovered a single male who was unconscious and unresponsive. The crew carried out CPR until finally they transferred him to emergency health-related solutions personnel waiting at Station Ocean City.
He was taken to Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md., where he was pronounced dead.
Rescue crews also responded from the Coast Guard Cutter Shearwater, Maryland State Police and Maryland Natural Sources Police.
Maryland State Police are investigating the lead to of the incident.
