I examine techniques of the wahoo pros and had a few questons…
I landed a seven.5kg wahoo a couple of weeks back again on my braid outfit (softer rod, 80lb spectra, Okuma reel), and lost the one the other day on my mono outfit (80lb yellow mono, stiffer rod, large aged star drag reel) so was asking yourself aside from the drag getting too loose if u reckon the stretch in the mono had one thing to do with the fish not getting hooked up excellent, vs the hookup on the braid was nice, corner of the mouth..even though abit lucky as i had a 80lb mono leader…no snips though…
Should i run the mono outfit on a tighter drag, so as to avoid the stretch in the mono effecting the hook up?
I did put a 30m dacron hammer on the mono outfit the other day, so I hope that will get care of the missed-hookup situation. I put the reel on a thirty-50lb rated rod too that was abit softer than the 37kg stiff rod it was on.
Also I set a 80lb mono topshot on the braid outfit…need to i consider it off to get much better hooksets?

I have rigged a few a lot more of my lures on wire now (stainless, multistand) as that’s all i have the following at the moment and will operate on acquiring some singlestrand on it is way here. Have u ever utilised copper wire from electircal cable…and does it function…not positive if copper wire is worth a go or not Considering that u say u’ve discovered it makes no difference, I’ll give it a lot more of a go.
How do you keep your lures and 3 foot of singlestand…do you coil it or lay it flat someplace…you talked about your cockpit in ur e-book…but was not confident how that worked

You stated you give your plugs and divers black bellies to make them far more visible with an airbrush…is a black marker ok or how do you do it w/o an airbrush? A spray can could get sloppy… 🙂 do you make the massive eyes on the lures with the airbrush as well?

When searching for wahoo, Nauru is a 8sq mile island in which the reef primaily drops off into deep drinking water, with only 2 areas exactly where the reef tapers off little by little. Are these two regions a lot more most likely to hold fish in comparison to the drop off locations? How far need to I be trolling off the drop off areas if i am right after wahoo, appropriate on the drop off or how far outdoors it?

Do Wahoo migrate? and are they probably to be around a a specific time of year right here more than one more time?

When u say fish the total moon, do you imply at night time or just the day of the complete moon? I have not tried evening trolling, may be abit risky here.

Is matching dimension or color of what they are eating a lot more essential? At instances they are eating quite small whitish hunting bait two-4cm lengthy which is more challenging to match with a decent hook…any concepts?
