We had been headed to the Gulfstream this early morning with Kenneth Osborne from Large Point,NC., Chad Apple from Gibsonville,NC., Lee Collins, Brian Tilley from Stokesdale,NC., and Rusty Albert from Stokesdale,NC.
I did items a small various this early morning. I know it was most likely puzzling, but, right after paying an whole day in the Stream two weekend’s back without having a bite, and I was not the only one that didn’t get bit, I desired to end at a spot and get some fish in the boat initial, just in circumstance heritage wished to repeat itself!!
I made a cease on some composition and it wasn’t lengthy till Rusty had a good King Mackerel in the boat. Then shortly following that Brian put a great Cobia in the boat., then a ‘cuda, and the shock of the quit was when Kenneth was in a battle to the finish with a large AJ!!
One of the guys hooked up a huge fish while we have been trolling just to have it pull the hooks right behind the boat. We never observed it, but it was on a PENN 50 STW and it was a load!!!
Purpose I manufactured this cease very first was due to the fact I knew that the moment we started off trolling in the stream we wouldn’t want to pull off and fish for some thing else, and, just in situation they failed to bite we wouldn’t go house empty handed.
But, luckily after we had trolled for a number of hours with no bites I knew something necessary to be done other than standing around chatting about hunting deer, so, I came down off the flybridge and started off shifting up lures and rigs till the right blend was figured out.
Red and black was the coloration of the day and 5 knots was the velocity and I quickly misplaced count of the Mahi Mahi that we place in the boat.
Never be afraid to be flexible, if one thing is not creating any bites, attempt something distinct. It might not be any greater, but soon after an hour or two it does not consider a genius to figure out what you are at present utilizing is not the bait of the day!!!!
Received a bottom fishing trip tomorrow. Check back again and see how we do!!!!
