I ran a number of trips in venice above the final week and fishing was strong the whole time with a mixture of wahoo, yellowfin, blackfin and amberjacks. I started out off with Eric and his crew and we strike up some chunking places and quickly place a box of jumbo blackfin collectively. All the blackfin have been caught on eighty pound frenzy flouro and 7/ circle hooks. Luckily the kings and sharks werent too bad at first as we caught a great deal of tuna. Following we put our 10th blackfin in the boat and sharks got unbearable and we went looking for other products to catch. About 15 miles off the pass I ran into a bunch of yellowfin blowin up pogies but we by no means could get really close ample to get a popper into them. Messed close to with them for 45 minutes with no luck then headed more than to a close in rig and permit the guys jig for ajs. Didnt consider them lengthy to place a restrict of six jacks in the boat on the jig up to about 35 lbs. We ended up the day with 10 blackfin and 6 amberjacks.

Day two I had Gabe and his buddies on the boat. Early on we caught a wahoo and a couple blackfin on the troll ahead of we headed above for some more tuna fishing. The latest was ripping and it was difficult to get a excellent slick really going so we didnt stick with it prolonged just before we headed back to trolling. Extra one more wahoo and a couple jacks on the troll. Commenced dropping jigs and finished off our restrict of ajs with the jig. Experimented with for another wahoo on the way in but all we obtained was a number of a lot more blackfins.

On monday I had my good buddy Paul Groves and his buddy artie on the boat. Getting that it was the day right after the superbowl they didnt want to depart also early. We pulled out about 830 and stayed on the shelf. Strike a few rigs with no luck prior to we dropped a jig and obtained our limit of jacks. Ongoing on down the shelf hunting for wahoo and finally received a pair in aroiund 400 ft of drinking water. 1 went 60 kilos and one went 75 kilos. We found a college of blackfin busting mullet and caught 6 on frenzy poppers.

DAy two with paul was a tuna day. We got our ajs early and then headed about to chunk on the way we hit a shrimpboat and caught a bunch of blackfin and acquired some great online video footage.

1st couple of drifts at the tuna spot I was marking a great deal of fish but no love other then then a pair of bf on the chunk. Round mid afternoon we obtained a 20 pound yf on the chunk then the up coming bait out acquired smoked. Broke that fish off but hooked up once again immediately and after a thirty minutes fight Paul put a 102 in the boat. A minor while afterwards we place a wahoo in the boat on the chunk.

At the finish of the day the tuna went off and we doubled up twice on yf to end the day with the big boy heading 135 lbs.

On friday I had chris Fullilove in with his crew and we caught some blackfin early on the troll then went chunking. The chunk bite was off and we only obtained a pair of bf. I went again to the rigs exactly where we obtained them trolling and was marking fish but no hits. Dropped the jigs and began hammering jumbo blackfins on the jig. Stopped on the way in and obtained a restrict of ajs on the jig and headed to the property
