Michelle Evans Drake, Billy Berg and David Christian of The Law braved the early early morning cool climate, yet flat, lovely seas to go wahoo fishing at the Blackjack Hole. The 64 lb wahoo they arrived back with made the excursion worth although.
Every person who has built the trip to the Blackjack on a neat early morning knows how excellent it feels to bundle up in a bean bag chair and catch some z’s. Male that is some goooood sleeping!

"Today’s Stream Report" | OIFC World Cat / Carolina Cat | twelve/29/eleven
The circumstances this morning have been great as we arrived to the one hundred/400 with flat serene seas and drinking water temps of seventy three-74 degrees- apparently the fish did not get the memo? We set out and soon after about twenty minutes a weighted line was taken and we were hooked up. John Richardson Sr. went to function and right after a challenging fought battle, landed a 40.5 pound Wahoo. The day was younger and items were looking up. From there nonetheless, the motion go Slow. We caught very a couple of little Untrue Albacore on the tuna feathers I had set on the prolonged riggers and we pulled off a excellent Wahoo bite, but by noon I was having difficulties for solutions. I produced my way to the Black Jack hole which was now vacant as all the boats that began there in the AM had moved on to the Steeples. The winds had picked up to 15kts or far better and the sharp 2-4 foot chop produced trolling a little bit tougher. As I pulled down "main street" I observed a slick on the drinking water and produced a turn, passing downwind and catching the unmistakable scent of fish. The Richardsons ended up excellent jeu and they by no means lost hope and stayed confident. It was a good day of mediocre fishing that at minimum ended on a relative up notice. Not certain what it translates to for 2012, but I am sure its my very last offshore excursion of the yr.

Rickey reported on it previous week but I lastly obtained some great photos and the data from the angler himself on the one hundred.four pound Wahoo caught from our area. Congratulations !!!!
Fished with my dad, Expenses Berg, on Monday December nineteenth on our boat "Fin Addict IV" out of Minor River SC and headed offshore to the blackjack to wahoo fish. 1st bite was as shortly as we began obtaining lines out. Tiny blackfin tuna on a black and purple skirt. 12:30 middle lengthy line starts screaming, twenty five minute battle later we boat what turns out to be a 100.4 pound wahoo. "Inshore Efforts from Group OIFC" | OIFC Entire world Cat / Carolina Cat | twelve/27/11
Capt. Barrett and I produced an endeavor at a exhibiting at this previous weekend’s inshore tournament – the possibility of dethroning Brandon Sauls from his Trout pedestal was value the energy — BUT, it was all for naught. Brandon edged out Brian and Austin Aycock for very first location honors with a 3 pound Trout and thus continued his reign as Trout Master. Brandon is basking in his personal glory, a genuine legend in his own thoughts… but he has held his crown company for some time and credit is deserved. He has almost missing his spouse, his children and task to his pursuit at repeating as OIFC Rodeo Trout Champ, but he at the moment holds the lead with a 6 pound Trout. There are just a few days until the end of the 12 months and the opportunity to take down the OIB Trout Grasp. Congrats to Brandon Sauls and Kyle Hughes for winning the weekend’s tournament.
