The past weekend has been a blessing with coolers of SPOTS, until finally MONDAY early morning ………… We saw a really nice run of POMPANO and the balance was SEA MULLET, SPECKLED TROUT, BLUEFISH, BLACK DRUM, and a few CROAKERS and tiny SPANISH MACKEREL ………… The wind has been in the NE for a few days, but will shift to a far more southeasterly route thru THURSDAY …………… Congratulations to ERNEST DUROGENE (Smithfield, NC)–2 lb. SPECKLED TROUT …………. TAYLOR &amp LORI SMITH (LaGrange, NC)–1 lb. 11 oz. SPECKLED TROUT …………. DENNIS MORRIS &amp RICKY AYCOCK (Selma, NC)–COOLER of SPOTS …………. ETHAN Page (Wilson, NC)–1 lb. SPANISH MACKEREL ……….. EMON SMITH (Harrells, NC)–9 oz. CROAKER ………… The Water TEMPERATURE is cooling down a bit, down to 76* (thank you Dr. Bogus) and if you are coming this way, be certain to provide a raincoat for the scattered showers in advance. …………. On a unfortunate notice, we missing one of our great pals on Sunday Ms. CORA MURRELL (Wyse Forks, NC) handed absent. Cora has been fishing here for forty+ decades, and all of the personnel here at the pier held her dearly in our hearts. …………. We will undoubtedly skip her, and our hearts go out to her family members and associates. …………… So come on down when you get a chance, catch some fish, and make Skip CORA proud of you! ………….
