OIFC fishing report 8-23
Tim and Jack Gallimore hit the waters the other night time searching for red drum below the dock lights. They fished employing Tim’s preferred weapon, Capt. Tim’s Channelside drum and flounder rig. I couldn’t get any longer information out of Tim. He is pretty limited jawed. Judging by his, Capt Jeff and Capt. Jacobs’ catches the flounder and drum bite is on!

"Yesterday’s Charter Pictures" | Get Occupied | 08/23/eleven
I had a excellent charter yesterday with 11 12 months aged Matt Nobers, his dad Jeff, Josh Haas and Fred Turner, all from Pittsburg, Pa. Matt had the scorching hand, landing a 26.five" red drum and two flounder. We employed minnows and live shrimp as bait. The flounder hit the minnows.

Lo.ok out here comes Irene. The Haas crew from Pa. confirmed up to get in some fishing before the winds and rain come in this weekend. We started out with stay shrimp all around the Sunset Seaside/OIB bridge and hit some docks. When the tide got a minor higher ,up in the grass we switched more than to flounder gear and caught a couple of of these.

"Inlet Dredging" | OIFC Earth Cat / Carolina Cat | 08/22/eleven
I ran across this article on dredging inlets and identified it intriguing. It can be rather small and it seems this software does not apply to the Shallotte Inlet. Follow this website link to read it.
