Hatteras Harbor fishing report 8-14

A peaceful sunday in Hatteras with a number of boats fishing. There have been fair catches of Dolphin as well as a couple of Wahoo. Inshore there have been excellent gray and speckled trout as nicely as Cobia.

The 28lb Cobia pictured was caught on 8lb test. Great one particular!

Offshore: Boats arrived back again with good catches of dolphin and a number of wahoo and blackfin tuna. 2 sailfish ended up released.

Inshore: Outstanding catches of speckled and grey trout and bluefish.

Offshore: Boats arrived back with great catches of dolphin, handful of wahoo and blackfin tuna.1 sailfish was launched.

Inshore: Boats had excellent catches of Spanish mackerel and the two gray and speckled trout.

Offshore: Excellent catches of dolphin, wahoo (citation sizes forty-48lbs) and blackfin tuna. King mackerel catches were scattered. three sailfish have been released.

In the vicinity of Shore: Boats had great catches of Spanish mackerel and bluefish.

Inshore: Very good catches of speckled trout.
